Our story

Ponchori began with two friends, Clara and Ben, and one shared idea — that comfort and elegance shouldn’t be opposites. What started as a search for the perfect poncho turned into a journey to create garments that feel as natural as they look. Simple, versatile, and made to last.

Clara, a former fashion buyer, grew frustrated by the fast pace and disposability of the industry. Ben, a textile designer from Cornwall, was inspired by traditional weaving and natural fibres. Together, they imagined a slower kind of fashion — one that celebrates craftsmanship, texture, and authenticity. That’s how Ponchori was born.

Our ponchos are made to be lived in — whether you’re walking by the coast, layering up for autumn, or relaxing at home. Each piece blends traditional weaving techniques with contemporary design, creating something both timeless and practical. We use natural fibres such as wool, cotton and recycled yarns to offer warmth, breathability and softness.

We work closely with small workshops and independent artisans across Europe and South America. Every partner we collaborate with shares our values of transparency and respect for materials. No mass production, no shortcuts — just honest craftsmanship and thoughtful design.
